Software Configuration Management using git

GIT is a "directory content manager" designed to handle big projects with speed and efficiency. It was developed by Linus Torvalds and the Linux community and is used as Software Configuration Management (SCM) tool for the Linux kernel and several other projects, including the U-Boot boot loader.
